A sad loss. I worked with Nick on silver halide holography in the 1980s. Although I was a newcomemr to the field Nick was supportive in guiding my thoughts on the topic. We renewed our acquaintace over the last few years in his new role in St Asaph. Although obviously ill he was still sharp and as 3 dimensional as ever!
